Well I have absolutely no idea what I am doing

Just bought this IBIS Spanky as I have been thinking of buying a road bike for a while..but I have no idea what I am looking at...or what is a good groupset what isn't etc..unlike me to purchase on the hoof, but thought...must be okay if its an IBIS.

Have I done a bad thing?
