I'll be there. Racing retro, but in a non-retro team of 3.

My youngster, who introduced me to this forum, is annoyed as there seems to be an 18 age limit, except for a single lap kiddies thing.
Seems a bit unreasonable/unfair as he can ride me under the table.
Otherwise we would have been there.

I will probably be doing this again this year, last years course was brilliant fun. ( funny how the memory of the climbs fades to be replaced with endless techy singletrack ).

It was fun last year except the uphills when I cursed the fact I had forgotten to put a granny ring back on heh. I will do it again this year although may do the 6hr event on a modern bike, we shall see. I took some photos which are here http://complexdreams.com/pics/bikes/Races/Brighton%20Big%20Dog%20Enduro%2015th%20August%202009/

yep, 6 hour solo on a retro. Pairs and solo's now sold out apparently, so get in quick if you want a team entry.

Has anyone done the party afterwards before, what was it like? was it worth it?

I went to the 'after party' last year. It was at the Fortune of War bar, right on the seafront, under the arches. Free bar which ran out just before I got there at almost 10.30- 11! Groups of folk drinking and chatting etc on the seating outside, plus anyone else who was just there...

It was a good vibe, and not obviously bikey.....if that makes any sense.

:)
