On Tuesday 12th October Worthing Borough Council voted in favour of a motion for 20mph speed limits on all residential roads in Worthing! There was cross party support with only one councillor abstaining.
The next stage is getting West Sussex County Council to finance the scheme (as Worthing Borough Council have estimated it would cost £500,000 and they do not have sufficient funding).
It is still really important that we continue to show the strong public support for this proposal by gathering as many petition signatures as possible.
