im off to dorset near weymouth for my summer holdays any good areas/routes in the area i could ride?

Portland's great too.

Basically go along the coast either way,or inland up to Hardy's monument,where there's a few long distance trails to join.

The purbecks area around Corfe castle gives great views off the dorset coastline. Well worth the climb up onto the ridge looking over sea

Any suggestions for further into West Dorset? I was over that way a couple of weeks ago round Hawkchurch/Marshwood and did the old hill forts, but I'll be based in Axminster area (without car) & could do with finding a few routes in the Dorset direction. I'm pretty familiar with the East Devon Shute-Woodbury side as I used to live round that way..
