No such, thing IMO. It's just riding bikes isn't it? Just some of the people on the ride might be on older bikes than others.
I was on a 2013 rigid bike on a retro ride yesterday. Still had fun ;)

I'm heading out with Retroyetirigid in the morning for another Purbecks ride. Rain or shine. Meeting Sandbanks side of the ferry at 10am.
