So after this months Haldon and cake ride we've picked Woodbury Common (between Exeter and Exmouth) for the first ride of 2012.

More details to follow on the meeting place which will be picked by Ajantom! Sunday 8th January 2012 start time 1000 for 1030 as usual.

Here's a linky to Decembers Haldon ride

Count me in too... For me it's a great "venue" for a retro ride.
I entered my 2nd ever race here, and many more after that back in the 90's... I'm sure I won't be anywhere near as fit or quick now.

Definitely in, great venue with reasonably all-weather trails.
Hey Totti, we probably did some of the same races bitd - you in the juveniles & me in the vets! (Vets started at 35 back then but changed to 40 shortly after.) I was runner-up in the 92/3 winter series riding a blue & yellow 1991 Trek 7000 which I still have. Perhaps I should bring that one along but its on slicks & 1 x 8 at the mo. Oh, & full mudguards!

take a look here, http://www.embc.uk.net/riding_woodbury.php
pretty straight forward from plymouth, once you get to exeter go on the M5 to junction 30 for the Services roundabout and take the road for Exmouth and Sidmouth, following signs for Exmouth you'll see ones for Woodbury.

I used to do xc racing back in the 90's up on woodbury common. Fully ridged Univega 5.1 ltd edition was my race bike back then. One of the best xc frames I've had. Did alot of racing on that before upgrading to a aluminium Trek with front suspension. Still don't like suspension!
