Nice ride today - as always on the retrobike rides very friendly and sociable
After I left you guys at the cafe I rode back down to Kennford via St. Andrews lane, took a tumble and cracked my carbon bars.....oops!
My knee is also a bit swollen - but of course that's less important than the bars
brilliant ride today
good to see a great selection of machines
great turn out (14 in total including my 12 year old son)
lovely and sunny
only one mechanical with jimbo's xtr rear mech
one major off let him tell what happened
good bike jumble with sales, swops and karma
You bugger GM!
Hopeless trying to upload pics on my laptop so will get mine up tomorrow.
A cracking day out and great to put more faces to names. This was my first ride at Haldon and I really enjoyed it. Some really nice flowing singletrack and great cafe (it got the AEC seal of approval, as GM's pics prove )
My mate Paul was really suffering with his war wounds on the way home. Fair play to him though as we did the loop again in the afternoon....and he came a cropper again! No inuries this time though
