Flocks of geese, herds of cattle, Cloud Trail, the Rolling Stones, little mud. What fun we had.

Herewith a draft plan for saturday. I'm waiting on confirmation that local boy Steve has shaken off man-flue sufficiently to lead us round.

9.45 for 10 am start from Station Road carpark at Hayfield.
Sett Valley Trail / Visitors centre car park.
Steve's planned route is 15 -22 miles in an anti-clockwise loop.
Northwards from Hayfield,
Widdows Hey Wood,
Rowarth.
New Mills Golf Club,
Roach Hey Wood,
Tow path to Furness Vale Station,
meander back to Hayfield.

I've been promised sunshine, and a pub at the end.
cheers
hidetherum

Hope you had a good ride. I myself discovered I had a crack in my new bike so it's back to the frame builder to be fixed.

Ticknall 7pm hopefully for some dust. 8) not sure I can be there though (passport issues)...

Sun a plenty, also big puddles and peaty mud. Really good. 19.5 miles.
