This is your opportunity to join us on one of the best regional rides of the year. Three area groups all ride separate loops and then meet in the middle for lunch and chat, before going their separate ways to complete their rides.

Here is last year's aftermath thread.

This year, the East Midlands area group is meeting at 10am Saturday April 23rd at the Woodbine Cafe at Hope. Route map to follow.

Here's a taster:

And here's the route.
Green from Hope to the visitor centre where we meet the others.
Yellow from visitor centre travelling west to east above the north of Ladybower to the pub.
Light blue from the pub back to Hope.

I plan on getting there quite early (before 9 maybe):

a) less traffic on way up
b) some parking when I get there
c) enjoying a relaxing coffee and flapjack in the cafe if possible

:D

there's one main road through Hope and you can't miss the cafe on there. There is a carpark on the other side of the road or road parking near by.

Hot rocks :D

Pretty brilliant ride really... despite seeming to do a large amount of walking and carrying.

Always good to meet up with other groups and there was a great selection of bikes to drool over.

The final descent from the top of Win Hill was an unexpected surprise but worth the climb... almost worth building it into the next time.

...a nice cold beer now... :D
