There seems to be a bit more interest in South Midlands at the moment so I thought I'd post up some rides from the Cotswold area.

There are from a very old (Retro?!) MTB guide, early 90's I would say, and gives a bit of an idea of whats on offer round here.

If there's enough interest I'll post all 25 rides but for now I've done the first 7 which are based in the north or north west of the region. I think a couple of these, (1 and 6), have been covered recently in MBR ride guides.

Any how, let me know what you think and if you'd like more I'll post 'em.

:D

Not seen that book looks good - maybe we need a to plan a route over a beer or two?

Out of interest does your book recommend wellies as the ultimate in muddy riding gear?

Looks a bit odd to see everyone bare headed

Yeah the author is not big on head protection, quote:

'I sincerely hope that the wearing of helmets remains personal choice'

From memory the early 90's was a time when the nanny state brigade were contemplating such legislature - I agree with personal choice but thats enough said or this'll turn into another helmet/no helmet thread of which there are many!
