It's not every day you get to watch the best riders in the country on your doorstep and on the weekend of 8/9 January the National Cyclo-Cross Championships will be held at Moorways Centre in Derby so here's your chance !
This should be a great weekend's racing to watch on what should be a good fast course (weather permitting). There's also events for the little uns over the weekend run by Cycle Derby so bring them along and get them involved.

well what a cracking race :D Our Gav came inside the top 30, there was a great scrap for 2&3 between Liam Killeen and another rider (sorry forgot his name  ) and Nick Craig having taken part (and won?) the veteran's race yesterday came 5th in the elite race today

Thanks for the support guys, it's always nice to hear friendly shouts when it's hurting a lot !
I was 28th in the end and was after a top 30 so it's :D

Jody Crawforth, he won the title himself in 2009 beating today's winner Paul Oldham into 2nd.

Yeah, Nicky pretty much rode the race yesterday at 75% once he'd got the gap and coasted to the win and then does that today - puts most of the seniors to shame really !

Well done Gav. I was cheering, but too far away for you to hear.
