Stopped at the edge of the A712 after the superb Black Craig and Talnotry Hill

A great ride, with some very technically challenging stuff, even with the amount of mincing I was doing, still no idea how I didn't fall off. Wouldn't have fancied it retro :D Now if I could just swap Glentress black for this...

I velo got 1/4 of the way round the red route and then gear hanger snapped :( Bodged a single speed fix and returned to carpark rendevousing on route with Mark (JimiHendrix) after he face planted and boogered his hand further up the trail from my mechanical.

I think us two were the only incidents, everyone else had a great time ;)

great pics, looks like a great day out and a crackin turnout- two points, that bike is to small for you velo and what's with the body armour HTFU

how did the old girl hold up TK?

The English version
First of all can I thank every body who made the trip to Kirroughtree, It was a day to remember  The ride looked like it Was going to be one of the largest of the year (In theory  ) As it turned out there were only 13 riders on the day, There was more to fall by the way side as well with broken bikes & broken bones (maybe ?)

So here's some pics for your pleasure

The old girl really struggled on this one Gaz, but the bike was fine :)
Need to get fitter, bad back this week didn't help. I skipped a few of the technicals and all the big drops.

A big thankyou to my person guide and motivation trainer Davy-G, I don't think I would have made it round with otu the encouragement, and now I know exactly what a burst sofa is like.

I didn't manage to drive home - I had to crash at my parents again - didn't get there till after 10pm - we had left newton stewart at 6.30
