Bummer, I'm out. I have one chance this year of having a ride with my old pal Nigel, this is the only weekend he can get free for riding and camping so, apologies guys, I'll have to shelve this one until next year. I just updated the MTB Touring thread to show my little impromptu / short notice ride this coming Sunday.

Can I ask that someone trace the route for me and pass it on in a readable format. I'd love to have the route at hand to ride at a later date. I covered a lot of land back in the day around Goathland, it's amazing countryside.

See you all soon.

I have it on good authority from my jealous parents, that it is the autumn steam gala this weekend so there will be a lot of spectacular steam engines playing on the line, but it will also be very full tourist and parking wise!

Down the street to the train station or up the street to the church.
Can't see anything interesting... People, large boobs, old and new bikes. Loads of cars, some parked illegally, vans, two roadies hard to tell what outside the cappuccino place... Bmx opposite? Few bike outside bike shop.. Old trains?

Illegally parked car and should be given a ticket ? Doubt it'll still be there if we ring the council though.
The bmx was just to the left of that lent against a wall. Two roadie bikes to the right.

Oh and it's a Datsun you young wippersnapper not a Nissan , pity about the god awfuly body kit though .

Author:  Matthews [ Sat Sep 28, 2013 11:23 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Sunday 29th Sept Hearbeat Singletrack Special

Quick bit of research and on an S plate it'll be a 260Z if a uk car or a 280Z if an american import , I'm sad I know but I can remember these on the road .

I love those old Datsuns but I prefer the A4 Pacific that will be round the other corner somewhere!

Post subject:  Re: Sunday 29th Sept Hearbeat Singletrack Special

Omfg, why the hell did I write nissan, I know its a datsun, my dad had a datsun sunny when I was little!
There used to be one near me a few years back, was a 240 I think!

Post subject:  Re: Sunday 29th Sept Hearbeat Singletrack Special

Still I doubt it'll still be there, you can go look if you want though.

Far more interesting are the steam locomotives around the other corner which have a chance of actually being there. And of course the grumpy men eating breakfast in the cafe ;-)
