We will be stopping at the Gait Inn in Millington for a late lunch as unfortunately we won't reach Millington until nearly 2/3rds distance but I have made enquiries and due to a local festival the pub will be open for food all day and is more than happy to serve a group of mud covered mountain bikers. Please bring snacks etc to keep you going until we reach the pub.
The route is known for having some very muddy areas in winter and although it is now supposed to be summer I would expect due to the recent rainfall that we should prepare for the worst.
Finally this is going to be a proper old school adventure as it has not been previously ridden by any of us locals and we will be navigating with a good old fashioned map!

and sort of knowing the wolds and then the moors and dales now.
I would guess
Difficulty Rating - 4/5 (No recce completed rating provided by route guide)
is more a 2/5 on the retrorating.
(..Also having ridden a few mikes to the west)

Yes I'm sure the 4/5 is more a mud thing than outright difficulty.
There won't be anything technical but there is 2300 odd feet of typical wolds climbing which is usual short and sharp.

it would be aye, i only browse new steeds at the moment, doubt i will have a new bike anytime soon, too much on my plate :shock:

tires are noot too healthy on the fatbike after almost 1,000 miles but its still getting dragged out until new rubber is available in the winter :LOL:

will try to be on this;
moving soon hopefully;so fingers crossed
if i come will try to be fit and have air in the tyres

A match with a weekend off, so hopefully Ok for this. But have been as reliable as a Northern Train at the moment.
