Just posting the aftermath pictures from one of my old rides.

And yes, in picture three we are in fact lost and I'm reaching for a 'Bensons'.

Inner tube to cover the bottom headset cup.
Using electricians tape to cover the chainstay as we could not afford shark fins.
Taping kit to the frame, ruck sacks cost a fortune back then.
Turning the rear 'Farmer John's' tyre the other way around as it worked better in the UK conditions.
Rear mech guards.

Rigid frames, imagine that, 'how can you possibly ride with a rigid frame' I keep getting asked.....people think i'm weird because I go down a hill riding a rigid frame nowadays !!
