The penultimate big ride of the year and a tough one to boot. Taking in classic singletrack and drove roads, we will visit six of the lesser visited dales of the NY Moors. Historical interest, huge vistas, woodland trails, killer climbs and high speed descents will be the order of the day. Expect mud and changeable weather so come dressed to suit. Everyone welcome on old and new bikes. This will be a big day in the saddle and will take around six hours to complete. Tough but highly rewarding.

How to get there
The Sutton Bank National Park Center is six miles (9.5km) east of Thirsk (or 7.5 miles (12km) west of Helmsley) at the top of Sutton Bank on the A170. Postcode is YO7 2EH

There will be a tea shop for refreshments at 1/3 distance and a pub at 2/3 distance. Sutton Bank Visitor center is open until 4pm for teas at the finish.

Wasnt this the ride where we walked through the forest/ravine thing lol

No. Starting point is the same and the first three miles (with the big views) will be the last three miles on this route. We will also pass the abbey, but approach and departure are different. 60% of this route is all new. There will be no 'green valley of death' this time around (unless you want to Richie?)

Yup, I was planning on being on the Saracen. If its been really wet though it might be on some non period looking blackwall tyres though. :(
