WOW what a day.....

We had 36 hours of biblical rain that stopped just before the ride, so we expected it to be a bit wet.
But what came next was a ride full of surprises, trails that ran with water and puddles that were cantie deeeep, then there was the 4+mile rock garden it was fantastic.

I think the best way to tell the tail is to show the pics...............

Big thanks to the good Dr for guiding us round some superb trails all be it in flood conditions.

I think as far as rides go this had some thing for the pervert in all of us

Heres a link to the rest of the album:- http://s746.photobucket.com/albums/xx10 ... %208%2011/

Thanks for looking and hope you can make the next one

The total mileage for those that care was 26.5 miles with the odd hill for good measure

Well done everyone a grand days riding

Good day out, cheers for sorting it. New brake pads both ends needed now, drivetrain change likely as well.
Highlights of the day : being there with usual suspects.
Lowlight: 5 miles of rockgarden, although we were all truely Kings to have conquered it!!

That was a challenge, could of done with some hiking boots for the 4 mile rock garden, spds on wet rocks and streams made it interesting, anyway I made it to the end just, need to be a bit more prepared next time and work on the fitness, cheers for a great day out lads, off to strip the poor old diamond back for a proper clean :D :D

That was an epic of epic proportions! I can't remember the last time I rode such tricky stuff for so long.

Thanks to Si for organising a killer ride and everyone else for turning up (and making it to the end :D ).

That looked like sooo much fun

What bike was the good Dr riding??

It was much more fun than it should have been, Si was on his ridged Cotic soul.

To say the conditions weren't perfect there were very little mechanicals but lots of comedy offs, I try-ed an over the bars with a 360 twist but only managed the over the bars bit.

The weather was kind as well which made it more pleasant, but it was a stark reminder of what is to come in a short few months.....WINTER.....

cheers kaya
