Thought I would pop this up as it's completely retro friendly by the looks of at and some people might be interested, some might even be doing it and want sponsoring (if so shout out).

You need to raise sponsorship and the entry fee, wish to be fair is not a lot compared to the price of some MTB events, this is two days.

Individual Entries – £25.00 entry fee, plus £35.00 minimum sponsorship.

Family Entries – Adults as above, under 16’s FREE ENTRY but requested to raise minimum £35.00 sponsorship per entry (N.B. maximum 2 under 16’s per participating adult).

Group Entries – £100 per group, plus £450 minimum sponsorship (N.B. Group sizes can be 4, 5 or 6 participants and must all be aged 16 and over).

I see that the route has changed from the proposed version that's still shown on Visit Hull & East Yorkshire's web site. I rode much of the then proposed Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route in April before the signs went up (with some minor deviations forced by skinny tyres and not being able to see in the dark too well). Well worth a go:

I worked as support on the event this year.

We had terrible weather but the event and the people were/are fantastic.

Just to let you know the dates for next year are the 14t & 15th July.

The website isn't up yet but entries are been taken by e mailing the organiser at robdavies@ryedalespecialfamilies.org.uk

Places are limited to 130 and pleanty have gone allready. before the launch!

If you could help spread the word, it's a great event for a great charity, and the cost is very cheap.

Nice one pain..

The route isn't easy, rolling terrain all day, but they are very quiet lanes and a little off road section the 2nd day, (doable on a road bike)

There were pleanty who completed it on MTB this year, slicks are a good idea though.

I have roped Gil in also (From here) who will be the gardian angel for one of the groups.

Any questions just ask..
