Lake District on hollybobs!

I'm gonna be in Bowness for a week from 10th-17th May on a family holiday, and when I say family I mean the majority of my mums side of the family so will be in need of an escape plan for some peace & quiet!

Gonna bring my Mojo and plan to ride Whinlatter but wouldn't mind doing some local stuff around Windermere/Coniston for example.

Any area rides planned around those dates or any local riders willing to guide an overweight unfit Brummie around the place? Any route plans would be received gratefully too.

The Retrobike National Series ride takes place in October and will most likely take in the same route we've used for the past couple of years around Grizedale and Coniston.
Have a search back for the previous ride announcement threads for a map.

It's a great route.

Cheers Paul, I have been looking at the aftermaths of some of the rides and they do look good, haven't come across any maps yet though, I'll keep looking

Just realised Grizedale Forest has a trail centre too, the North Face trail looks good!

The link above includes a map of the route and a description. It takes in about two thirds of the North Face Trail along with some fantastic natural trails and views.
