Running and the tightening of the ITB seem almost to go hand in hand.
I'm sure your physio will have shown you a few stretches which will make a huge difference. A good regime of ITB stretching can mean the key factor in being able to keep running. The fact that it's a big bit of connective tissue means it influences so much of the rest of your legs and lower back.

Good to get another (more favourable) diagnosis and treatment.

Aye, it was good to speak to someone who understood from a sports perspective.

Been playing on a foam roller and bought an itb strap. Roll on Sunday...
