Just bought a nice 1997 GT Backwoods I'm in the process of upgrading it and sorting it out, but it has odd wheels at the moment, I'm looking to get a rear wheel with matching shape to the front currently Mavic 238, it has the later narrow bridge shaped mavic rims in silver and not the older flat squared rims, if you know what I mean 
So I need a Rear Mavic Rim with a good Shimano Hub, preferably 8 or 9 Speed as I'm going M570 groupset.
Does anyone have one of these or similar knocking about must be true?
