I'm after a 28.6mm top pull front mech for a 48-38-28 triple chainset, of reasonable quality, modest price, and good working order (of course).
It is to replace the bottom-end pressed steel monstrosity that is currently fitted to the near-mint early 90s Saracen Rufftrax that I am upgrading for my son. It's got a nice butted cromoly frame, but the mechs and chainset have definitely been where the corners were cut. The rear mech has been replaced already by a 200GS one, and the quality of that is fine.
