I've got one of those. :)

Knock 'em out and take them down to your local bearing shop, be about a tenner for replacements.

Think I've seen them on CRC as well.

Thanks for the tip. So they'll take a generic bearing?

The wheel is cheap so I might just go for it.

Edit: Oh, and what's CRC?

Oh, I thought it was a titanium hub?

Hope hubs have cartridge bearings fitted, at least they are cartridge in mine! I know as I've just replaced them front and rear, I got replacements from my local bearing shop.

CRC is www.chainreactioncycles.com

Try this:

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Sear ... e+bearings

They'll most likely be 6001 bearings I reckon.

Yeah, i'm sure it is. It just that I don't have it yet so couldn't check the bearings.

Thanks for all your help! :D

Ah, now I understand, it's not a cheapo wheel, it's going cheap!!

Front bearings are dead easy to change, the rear aren't that much harder.

Take a look at this:

Yeah the wheel is cheap due to the bearings needing replaced.

I've got another Hope hub which would probably benefit from it's first new bearings in 13 years too, so thanks for all the info - it'll come in handy.

The model pictured above is a Hope Suspension Hub, right? :?:

I changed mine in my Hope without too much trouble - pair of 6001 bearings cost £5. Shouldn't be much of a problem.
