I'm after a nice chain tensioner anyone got one to sell? or even just to recommend a certain model.

I like the look of the Soulcraft- and there is a similar looking German one that I can't remember the name of.

What are the pros & cons of sprung and unsprung tensioners?

Cheers

Roox or Rohloff?

I take it it's for a SS? I've used both sprung and unsprung tensioners before. The unsprung are good but the sprung ones are better if your ring/sprocket isn't perfectly round (ie the chain goes tight/loose). With the unsprung ones you have to tension the chain at the loosest point which can make the chain very tight when it moves over the tighter section. This has the effect of stressing the drivetrain and accelerating wear. The sprung ones maintain a constant tension so are better in this case.

If you're using high end components then you won't normally have this problem. In this case it comes down to which ever you like the look of.
