So last year I picked up an old emelle kids bike for £5. It's nothing special but I wanted to save it from being dumped. Ive put a lot of work into polishing the chrome up and it's looking pretty nice so want to try and really save it. (times like this I wish I had kids just so I could give it to them). It's one of those bikes I have absolutely no use for but can't bring myself to get rid of.
It's a 10 speed 2x5 and I'm looking for a set of thumb shifters for it. Anything like what you find on old apollos/universals etc would be fine. I'm trying to build it as cheap as possible so really looking for reject parts, maybe you have a scrap old bike that I could salvage them from?
