I need a new and unused UN73 (XT) square taper BB in 73mm shell with around 118mm spindle.

Dont know about new and unused...

I think your better off going to a bike shop for a new and unused item such as a BB :)

You're probably right Jez - but Shimano stopped making them a while ago, longest is 73/113 unless you want a cr@ppy UN53. Someone might have one they never used...

somebody on ebay is selling some UN91 , some of them are pretty long I recall.

they are pretty hard to find . becuase cranks were so different and straight in the early days of MTB .

Measured everything up again and I actually needed a 73/127! Found an XT one at good old St John Street cycles.
