Marzocchi Z3.5 replacement steerer tube

Gnarlyboots

Retro Newbie
Hi, I've got a 97 Rockhopper, bought some z3.5's but unfortunately the steerer is at least a centimetre shorter than I'd like so I was wondering if anyone here could help with a replacement service or something similar?

Thanks

It's not recommended to press a steerer tube out and a new one in.
Manufactures and some companies did that for a couple of years, but quit due to safety reasons.

Since the steerer tube is just a tad short. I'd try another stem with less clamping height. E.g. Syntace Superforce only needs 28mm minimum.
