Campy Centaur Front Mech - Desperate!

Has anyone got one of these kicking around? I currently have a 34.9mm DX band-on mech fitted to my RS1 but as you can see from the pic - space is really tight. No matter how much fettling I do, I can't get it working correctly, there just isn't enough space!
The Campy Centaur was original equipment for the RS1 in 1992 so I guess nothing else is going to be petite enough to fit.
(The DX I have is pretty blinkin' small too!)
I keep watching ebay but no joy as yet :(

Cheers!

Have you looked into a roadie clamp on mount and a braze on triple mech? Some of the mounts come slotted to allow a little up and down adjustment that may help you here. Have a look at SJS cycles, they always have something similar.

Or you could look at an Eclamp mech with an adapter on the seat tube, can't remember off hand who makes the adapter but it was the same people who did the bolt on pulley wheels and v brake cable adapter things

like this but without the wheel, allows you to use the eclamp on a non eclamp frame (although you may need a new BB

(hell, just use this without the pulley, i'm sure it'd work!)

Thanks Pete,

I know for sure that the clamp won't fit. But the idea is sound.

As for the adaptor, not sure it will work either. The space is so damn tight.
And there's no way I can change the BB, they are a custom job on the RS1s.

O.K. I can source you one N.O.S. Euclid same as Centuer but better finish black band to go with frame. Only problem is Time 8/12 days before you have it . PM me if you want it for price CHEERS
