Old school and understated

Hello all

I’m after a new frame.

I’ve done a couple of ‘if less is more just think how much more more would be’ builds and now I’m hankering after an actual less is more challenge.

I want to go British or US early rigid steel but really take my time over it.

I’m 5.10” so a little flexible on size.

Ideally nothing too run of the mill (I know this will cost more) but I can’t stretch to a Fat Chance!

Not looking for Kona, Marin, GT, Trek etc.

Probably talking around the £200 mark for frame and forks only.

It’s likely going to be stripped and repainted so I can live with scruffy.

I don’t want to let anyone down by making a commitment to buy then not following through so consider it testing the water at this stage.

Am I dreaming? If not what have you got?!?!

P.s. Is this good value:

Its a great frame, but not fillet brazed as it says in the advert. I think its an '88.
Make him an offer, its been for sale for quite a while.

Just to add, if it were my size, it would in my collection by now! :D

Cheers fella, just to confirm: too expensive and too big you're saying?

IMHO yes too expensive by a mile.
And I just re-read it its 20" CtC not CtT
I ride 18" or 19" CtT frames.
