If you can get a thread cut I have a NOS uncut steerer for a mag series fork that I don't own anymore...

Can I simply cut an Ahead crown with a threadcutter?

You're stem may not fit/clamp so well on the inside. It should be 22.2mm same as the stem.

Thanks, so that's something I can check in advance.

A proper threadcutter is not difficult to find, but they're a bit expensive. I've found a Cyclus for 80 Euros.

I can measure at the weekend for you as I do have both. Though I think my only 175+ length is 1". I have my old Altitude one and it's an uncut 170mm length I think.
I have threadless at 186mm iirc I'll measure for you. Overall heavier though as they are not butted to reduce the weight.

Still looking, anyone? I re-measured, seems that I only need a 160mm crown with a low stack headset.
