I need a Freehub that can be used with a 1990 shimano XT hub. A standard Hyperglide would do it but I don't know if the XT version had a better quality unit than standard Deore/Exage kit.

Interesting, is this Hyperglide or Uniglide. I thought Hyperglide started at 7.

all the "notches" are the same , so uniglide , came off the NOS hubs on the epic , deffo 6 speed

Ah, Uniglide deffo, check the even slotts around the edge, Hyperglide will have a single wider groove. Uniglide cassettes fit Hyperglide freehubs but not the other way around sadly.

Many thanks for the pic but sadly yours won't work.
