That's very strange; fire mountain and Hahannah stayed with one inch until 1994. my 93 is 1".

Definitely a 92 and definitely 1 1/8”

Sorry to hijack your wanted thread Mike.

Sorry, I’ve been away at HONC, hence the delay. My tip forks are 185 mm, and my tip headset is ~30mm so the Kona is a no-go. Thanks anyway.

Rick, Basil’s head-tube looks short, please can you measure it?

Peachy, thanks for the offer, but a bit before the age I’m after.

Thanks chaps.

That stem says 25.4 on it, that's 1"... 28.6 is 1 1/8".

I've also never heard of 1 1/8" threaded.

I used to have a 92 FM, that was 1" as well.

Yes the stem is 25.4, 1”. The stem fits inside the steerer and the headset is 1 1/8”.
A 1” threaded headset takes a 22.2 quill stem.

It’s definitely a 92, original paint, decals and all the parts fitted are original and it’s definitely had a 1 1/8” threaded headset. Must be a super rare one then ;)

I have a Kermit green rockhopper in 19” flavour I think, in my way on the shed. Moved way up north though so will have to be posted. £20 plus post if you want it.

Thanks for the offer, I actually just won a Marin on eBay, so I’m hoping that fits!
