Hi guys,

So whilst I love retro bikes...I currently don't own any! All my money has been plowed into my modern 29ers! But I will again be at Mountain Mayhem this year and seeing as it is going to be the last one, I thought it would be good to do a lap on something retro. So I am looking for something that can take on that course with little or no work! I have in the region of £100-150ish so would hope for something in the LX, DX or even XT bracket and between years 1990-97 Frame size would need to be a minimum of 20" centre BB to top of seat tube and a max of 21.5". It needs to be pretty much race ready! So cosmetically if the bike is a bit battle scarred then that is fine as long as the drive train and brakes are all sorted!

A wish list...

- Marin Eldridge Grade and above.
- Spesh Stumpjumper
- GT Karakoram or above
- Dyntech Ti LX or above

Or just try me with what you have...or loan me your Ti Marin or Litespeed!

Doug

I had the chance to get it and I passed...I wouldn't now! C'est la vie...

There's nothing wrong with being..... a bit left field/unique

And then there's THM bless him,
Would be a dull world if we were all the same.

Re:

I have a wookie sized Saracen frame sitting doing nothing in my garage, along with most bits needed to build it up.
Mayhem-specific double U-brake too ;-)

Re:

I'm listening.

Frank will be there as a retro backup bike. That was a bloody stump jumper once. Or was it a rock stopper?

Anyway, you are welcome to hop on. Gimp mask optional but will be provided.

As long as i get to run my fingers through your chest hair it's all good.

Will bring scissors for my locket.

A choice here:

Extra large u-u badge built Emmelle with Deore- all ready to go bar the tyres £60+ P&P

And

20.5 inch Cannondale M700 XT/ LX mix - all ready to ride except for the puncture £120 +P&P
