I'm not a fan of that colour, looks too blue, a little bit Capri with a bodykit kinda colour.

This is current colour...

That's more of a Prussian Blue in my book DrS, lovely colour, much better than the ones above.

I don't know if you are familier with the game Gand Turismo 4 on PS2, but one of the featured cars is the Interceptor. When you select it from the menu you then have the choice of factory spec colours. I dug it out last night and flicked through the colours to try and decide. One colour that did catch my eye was California Sage Green. Very nice and really suits the cars lines.

I also remembered why I put the game away in the loft. A virtual car showroom is not a good thing to have in the house- it ends up costing too much money. Today I am smitten with a certain car on there and I now know what will be replacing both Alfa and Jensen in 2011. :D

Well it's decided. Alfa is sold (going to a guy who works for Renault F1 at Enstone). Parts are ordered for the Jensen and as soon as it's finished it's going up for sale.

Empty garage and funds in the bank. That can only mean one thing. Project 'Mid Life Crisis'

a few clues.....

302cubic inch Ford Windsor, Edlebrock alloy heads, crane roller cam, 11.1 forged pistons, open exhausts, quad weber 48IDA carbs. 440bhp, 480lbs torque.

Mate this to a Hewland box and shove it in the back of a 60's sports racer.

Car weighs just 950kg, is 81 inches wide and just 40.5 inches tall.

0-60 in under 5 seconds and 200mph top speed (depending on gear ratios)

It won the Le Mans 24hr for 4 years in a row.

You can just about squeeze a bike in the passenger side.

Answers on a crisp £20 note please :D

It was a guess based on the height of the car and the engine, he hasn't confirmed it yet!

No other 60s car won it 4 times in a row. Height is a bit of a giveaway too.

Ferrari won 6 times in a row from 60-65, first with TR series then with the 330 and then 250-275 series cars; very similar cars with just different bodystyle and engine capacity.

But yes Ken, I'm buying a Ford GT Mk II. It is not a genuine 60s original nor is it a 'kit car'. This is an officialy sanctioned 'continuation' chassis that is eligable for a FIA Historic Passport to race alongside 60's originals. Every aspect of the car is period correct and built with identical materials and processes (apart from a modern roll over structure). The chassis/ tub is on order and should be here in the UK around December/ January. Bodywork is 68 JWA Le Mans spec with the low drag nose and blisters to take 12-14" wide rear wheels.
Plan is for a race legal but fully road usable car that can do do the Tour Auto, Le Mans Classic etc.
