Bike had been used as test machine by UK importer when new and motor had/has weird sensor mounts attached to it, later blocked off by brass bolts through the cases  Was going to do full resto on it as cosmetically V Good apart from engine case issue but now just going for roadworthy rebuild  Speedo shows around 4,000mls although that's largely irrelevant as motor stripped for rebuild.

Brass bolty bits on upper case......

Welder chappy filled in 'oles where bolts sat.

ooh thats gonna be nice panda

like the old sohc 750's

doing a full resto build or just a functional one ?

Was going to go full hog but current plan just to get it together again, canny be ersed polishing things to death  so much to do so little time etc......

Picked up a 4into 1 pipe for it - looks like a Piper/Alfa thing ie straight approx 3" diameter jobby so it should sound interesting enough ;)

Had similar pipe on Z1000J many years ago - GROWL :D Holed a piston and replaced with 4/1 Neta after that - just wasn't the same
