I'm going all soft and staying in the Hotel

I figured after a long drive and me being an old...ish bloke with chronic fatigue that setting up a tent and sleeping under canvas would result in me not being able to ride the next day or drive home the day after.

Expensive yes but comfortable definitely !

Thought I may as well update this as a sort of aftermath gallery.
A great weekend was had by the Macretro clan which consisted of Velo, Epicylo and myself.
It was a great course with lots of climbing and some really great singletrack. As usual there was a atmosphere throughout the weekend with lots of time socializing.
Thanks to Brian and Velo for a great weekend, what a laugh. Until next year in Holland :)

Great pictur's, it was a fantastic weekend although the actual race was way beyond my capabilities

The Gazzelle off-roadster will get more modifications for the Netherlands 2018. It is a dutch bike afterall so it should get a visit back home. I will probably lose the Plus front tyre and way too rigid fork as they added nothing good to the riding experience

Some finely honed athletes in those pics, Jamie. :)

Sorry about not stopping at the beer stop Velo, but you know we wouldn't have moved from it and achieved our 4th equal race positions. :)

Now the big challenge is the SSUK in September. Velo and I will both be building something "different". Lignium alloys will be incorporated into the build.

Hopefully shopping for some laminated lignium alloy next week. Unfortunately I have too many designs in my head

Venue is Cartmel in Cumbria which is half way between Kendal and Windermere.
