MacRetro Rider
MacRetro seems to have a very strong off road emphasis but i'm sure you would all agree it would be nice to be able to actually cycle to the local trails with children…
I thought that this would be better here than in Edinburgh but I find that in Edinburgh i had a better chance to find a quiet D-tour… i'm still loading bikes in the car...

Meet @ 11:30 at the Meadows in Edinburgh for the 11:59 minute of silence and
12:00 start.

Assuming the kiddies will refuse like last year I shall have no excuse for going 90% of the way by car…So I better start training for the Peebles feeder ride.. Selkirk, Gala, Stow, Heriot... on the west side of the valley looks pleasent enough but i don't think I can face the huge D-tour or suicide stretch along the A7 that appeas to be unavoidable after that…

I am hoping to be there this year. Probably take the train into town, unless I take the trike. In which case the irony of driving to a cycling demonstration will be fully apparent, but hey, that's why there is a demonstration!

Could we do a MacRetro team ride?

Re:

I like the Idea of a MacRetro team ride!
However as i'm kind of trying to galvanize support from the borders and trying to get borderers to turn up on the day. So depending on how successful I'm going to be with that, i'm not sure it will be appropriate for me to "abandon" any borders group I came with/helped set up once at the Meadows…

Less than 3 months to go. With an election following closely it is a good year to badger your Westminster candidates into going along.

And we even have heroes signing mini campaigners t-shirts.

Less than a week now to POP 2015.

How are you looking TK? Going to make it?

I will likely be on the Portobello feeder ride as the trains can't be trusted. If there are any MacRetro folk there I would be happy to try and meet up in the Meadows for the procession.

Not sure I will make it - 2 weeks on holiday has wiped me out and with jetlag and work this week means I might like to sleep in on Saturday morning. I might brighten up later in the week though.
