colour schemes

is it the "done thing" when refurbing to come up with your own colour scheme and move away from original era colour


secondly is it possible to have rear triangle chromed and main frame matt powdercoated

i presume forks are easy enough to chrome?

currnet thinking for my BV is ?chrome /shiny silver front incl bars etc matt black head tube and main frame with chrome shiny silver rear legs triangle

opinions please

Ive always liked Marins zolatone I think its called or summit like that (the matt finish whats'it)
Just a point to consider, some metals dont respond well to chroming they react badly to the process.
Go with how YOU wanna go sod what others think ;)

That looks similar to some of the textured paints that have been cropping up.


As for the chrome, is it the shiney shiney you want. If not then some of the metalics may work well?
 
Remember you can get chrome effect powder coat. So chrome powdercoat the entire frame thus protecting everything then overpaint the front half !
