At least with the Forestry Commission you know you are in good hands. Imagine if this was in the hands of private developers? They might not even attempt to maintain the trails, whereas the Commission have a pro-active policy for access.
I am sure it will be much less disruptive than some may imagine, and a few more clearings can bring a lovely fresh feel to the trails.
