Hi

Does anyone know of a bike shop in the Glasgow / East Kilbride / Ayrshire area that could extend the tread down a 1 1/8th threaded fork?

I have asked Walkers Cycling in Kilmaurs, but they cant.

Cheers.

Just requires the correct tool, a fork threading dye. You could easily do it yourself if you could get hold of the tool. Problem is said tool costs £150 up and since 1&1/8" threaded is basically dead having been replaced by AHeadset systems few bike shops will justify having such a tool. A frame builder would though like Shand Cycles which I believe operates somewhere in west Scotland.
