a little off topic but this race is the same weekend along the great glen from nairn to FW, looks really appealing apart from that running pish (and the cost) - you can do it over 2 days too. http://www.scotlandcoasttocoast.com/expert.html

spoke to swmbo and been told i can go and have just got a new tent so would be rude not to try it out
so if its ok with you guys can i come and i will try not to slow you down too much


also have 40pints of 7% home brew that will be ready by then

MacRetro prides itself on competing for last place and I'm a pretty serious contender so its unlikely you'll slow us down unless we drink the homebrew first, then we might not even get moving in the first place :lol:

had a look at the videos should be lots of fun on a hardtail lol definatley not taking the mv on that dont want to brake it

ive heard home brew makes you at least 1000 mph faster

Good to have you along Ewan - as Velo says, high speed rides are mostly a stranger around these parts.

Is anyone else planning on camping (rather than bunkhoose)?

got a bargin tent out of go £50 down from £150 hope all the bits are there

Ewan, our usual average speed round Pitmedden is 2.6mph. Seriously!
That's quite scary, 2.6 average over 25 mile loop is nearly 10 hours!
