Hello MacRetro,

Ed Edwards is trying to co-ordinate a national road run program to compliment the already established national mtb meets. I volunteered my services for a Scotland run.

So in a name a date and they will come style I've chosen in conjunction with Ed 24th August 2013. The run I've chosen is the classic 4 Abbeys around the Scottish Borders.

I realise this has come out of the blue and has not been democratically arrived at but Ed wanted to have a rough draft of events for 2013 so I volunteered and this has resulted. Possibly it might clash with other events you might wish to do but thats life, you do afterall have the ability to make your own decisions.

If interested post up here:-

Might give this a bash for the banter if I can borrow one of those road bike things and if wearing of Lyra is not compulsory, :D

August is always tricky but it would give something to aim for at the end of the summer. It's a while since I did a road run that long. (A while translating to around 20 years)
