First time McRider

Am currently planning a long overdue visit north of the border for next year (sometime between easter and late summer) to visit family and see some sights. If I were to be cunning and squeeze in a Retro ride out, which ride would you guys recommend as no too miss?

Not announced yet but I think our national is likely to be in August and possibly around the hills of innerleithen (not on the main routes), but for real adventure Torridon would be the one for me.
