Looked at this - BB/ Strathcarron on tarmac (c class rd) to Croik, Strath Cuileannach to Duag Bridge (bothy :D ) then Strath Mulzie to Glen Achall and on to Ullapool....that it?

There's also a bothy at Knockdamph (285954) if needed. Bothies handy for shelter rather than o/night stay ;)

Don't suppose you fancy October .......

:D

No, probably right.

I've been hunting around for a few routes and have found some maps. Looks like a different out and back could be done, will need to get hold of an OS and ponder over it. October eh......beerfest eh....... :)

looks like a loopish type could be made by heading north from bonnar bridge and coming in half way along the marked route.

Yep - that looks like the most obvious route. Also, by travelling south from Croick, there looks to be a route through to Alness.

OR, again from Croik, south west thorugh Gleann Mor to Black Bridge on the A835, not handy though, probably involve a 2 car shuffle.

Also noticed this some time ago, kept the link for reference.

looks very cool, would be up for another 2 day trip, the panniers worked a treat, just try and avoid the bogs and marshlands.

2 days!!!! What are you gonna do it on a motorbike

Just had a idea
What if we start from a central point in Scotland, that way anybody could
cut their journey short if they wanted. Rather than saying they've had
enough after reaching the east coast and having to make their way all
the way back to the west coast. This might also help the guys who cant or
dont want to do the whole thing.

Whatcha fink? :?
