It's very simple. Triathletes used Spinergy wheels, triathletes look like this:

Yeah, so, they were cool bitd, but few think so anymore. As stated, definitely a form over function type of part.

Uncool for me as I've never seen a bike that they improve the look of. Remind me of mag wheels on a BMX. Cool on a BMX, not on a MTB imo. :wink:
