Welcome all to the biggest competition in the RBotM Calendar!

Yes, that right, it's the RETRO ROAD BIKE OF THE YEAR 2018!!!!!!!
(cue crowds cheering, Mexican waves and general celebrating)

We have had the best year ever in terms of entries, both number and quality along with a steady climb month by month in the number of people voting. So thank you to one and all for supporting the comp as it is clearly doing it's job of showcasing what everyone is riding as well as building and judging by the banter and posts people are liking it.

This time the Yearly poll will run alongside the January monthly comp as I figured if we run it as the January comp then at the end of the year we miss out on a month of entries and it also deserves it's own one off special Poll. There is also a small prize for this months winner that will be retro inspired.

So the RBotYear comp comprises all the winners from 2018 whether themed month or standard including the three months that we had a tie. So all the years winners will be able to be voted on with the main difference being the poll will run for 7 days instead of 5.
Usual rules in that there is one vote per member with the results hidden until the end.

Best of luck to all and if you think some of the months it was hard to make a decision wait until you have to decide between this group of superb bicycles. This is where the voters are going to need luck because this is one stunning lineup.

Now that’s a prestigious lineup! All very well presented.

My personal favourite build last year was my 1954 Jubilee. Build thread in signature below ;)

Bloody hell this is a hard choice, it has to come down to which one I would want to own if I didn't already and I'm still struggling with the choice.

I'm down to three but it's going to take some cogitating this one.

Two standout machines for me - tricky to choose: and when was a frame a bicycle ?

Rk.

Frames and projects are included as it is the winners from all months of 2018 and that includes the theme months as well.
:) But I am sure if one thing isn't to somebodies taste that there should be something that is ;)
