That's right, this months theme is Reynolds 531 tubing. RBotM August is still BIKE of the month, so it's any bike made with the venerable Reynolds 531 tubing.
Now this can be any variant, 531, 531C, Professional, as mentioned, any variant, ATB even, as long as it's primary use is for road.

Usual rules apply in that their should be 2 photos and a brief paragraph describing your entry. Photos could be a full bike shot and maybe one highlighting the Reynolds 531 decal somewhere, just a thought, not a rule ;) .
A link to a build thread or readers ride thread etc is always good to give people more information if they want it.
This is a themed month so previous RBotM winners are eligible to enter.
Hoping to get a good and varied response to this theme and hopefully follow on with other tube sets if it's successful.
Thanks for any and all support.

Jamie

EA Boult's are rare, and this 1952 version was made at the time the company's ownership was transitioning from Ernie Boult to one of the employees, Ernie Witcomb.
The frame was purchased from the original owner, Dave Orr, who was able to guide the reinstatement of the original silver and magenta colour scheme and spearpoint design. The slightly later Roy Mitchell braze-ons were retained. Dave was a friend of Roy Mitchell. Dave also helped make the Pennine pumps 'back in the day', so a Mark 2 version was used. The yellow bands on the pump are cut from a Dare handlebar sleeve, a job also performed by Dave long ago. The frame was in constant use by Dave a BLRCer, undergoing many changes as components wore out, and this pattern continued after Dave immigrated to Australia. Dave had his last ride on it in late 2015, the morning of the day I was to collect it. Dave declined my offer to be its first rider after its refresh.
The saddle is original, a Competition Narrow, with the oval stamp.

Re:

Here's my Legnano Olimpiade Record Specialissima from the early 80s made with 531. At this time Bianchi had taken over Legnano and some of the frames are made from Columbus or Falck tubing.

These are some beautiful machines entered already. I think it's going to be a good month.
Thanks

We are off to a great start but lets keep the momentum going. I am sure there are more 531 tubed bicycles on this site than you could poke a broken Columbus downtube at.
So, dig them out the shed, dig them out the loft, spit and polish and a quick photo, and your in with a chance. Tell your friends, tell your family!!!!! :)
It's a special month this one and as such I am working on a small token for the winner.
