Yes the Brodie was very nice. But the post had 3 photos and was inviolation of the rules. I am suprised the mods did not inform him or just edit the post. It certainly fit the bill.

A little bit harsh as you say, A polite PM to edit his submission would have done the job. :?

I for one enjoy the dialogue.

I also respect and appreciate the mods who put effort into this poll month after month.

Sandmangts does make a very valid point that cracked me up:

If your bike is already in a frickin museum, you won already. When we have a "My bike is in the Smithsonian" BOTM contest please feel free to enter. Until then piss off and let the amateurs have some fun.

That and Bushpig having to travel around to different places to get too and ride his bikes. After the ride is over having to re-store the bike is classic.

Best line this month.

Conquerers of the Useless.

Geek on!

A restoration, while maintaining the integrity of the original irreplaceable patina. Thats honorable.
Taking an already rare bike from its neglected bare bones state...and taking it to a fully correct period piece that is on display in an actual museum...no one can compete with that.

And there are some really good resto efforts in this botm, but when you look at the big picture, this is possibly boty material here.

If you look on the nominations thread stanlee linked it with his nomination.
