Only a few real restorations IMHO.... Scott, Koski, Orbit, Pinnacle, Ibis and Cannondale. Love that GT, but it's from 1999 so wrong BOTM. Should be in BOTM 98+.......

The Scott is mine, so no vote there...That Koski is something else, but I cannot vote for it with that strange road stem. I know it's original, but it just doesn't do IT for me.... The Orbit needs better after pic... The Pinnacle is nice, but not special enough for me..... Love the Ibis.... Cannondale is a great restoration, bit will I be able to vote for a Dale??......

Cool to see the before and after pics. The passion of our Hobby really comes through this month.

As far as making a choice.... it is a tough one for me....
Between the Koski & the Ibis. The Elgin is also a contender.

There are some very lovely bikes there and are a credit to their owners, some great refurbs.

I love the lobo, but unless we have now agreed the upto 97 has been changed forum wide then that won't get my vote as it's clearly a 98 onwards bike..if it was a 98 competition I would vote for this

on the basis we are asking for restoration then another few are ruled out as for me restoration is not just throwing a few new bits and a bit of t cut and a clean

so for me ....on the basis of the title of the thread that leaves two restorations that encapsulate that

Stanlees Koski comes in an incredibly close second, it's a beautiful beautiful bike

but for a restoration there is no doubt the bike that looked like a pile o turd to then be brought back to life with the owners own hands for me it has to be sandmangts' 1936 Elgin

However far I stretch the definition I cannot see the Elgin as a "restoration" - the frame yes, the bike no.

Ibis or Orbit for me - I prefer the latter as a finished object, so that's the decider.
