Poll now up.

I've omitted a couple which looked like normal 90s retro bikes to me.

For all those who think this month was a little too open to interpretation I agree - that said it sparked some interesting debate and entries. The next special will be a little more straightforward - perhaps red bikes?

Problem with this picture of the Laïti is it doesn't show the weird rear end! But if John used the other picture it didn't show the lefty front...

Anyway... Strange bike......

Rather untypically, for me, I found this month to be more difficult than normal to choose where my vote should go.

I used the criteria of "dead end" simply as the qualifying criteria, rather than using that as impetus to vote for what I perceived as the most "dead end" design or implementation.

When it all came down to it, I used my normal, trusty, rationale - if they were all lined up, and I could pick any to take home and keep, which would it be - and oddly - perhaps because none where 100% of my ideal, it was more of an internal debate than normal.

Anyways, 'nuff rambling, I went for: Huelse's 1990 Ibis Mountain Trials.

There were a couple of others that made it a close thing for me, but than won out, despite the Bullseye cranks!

I found this a toughy, as some of those 'dead ends' have since been adapted and used today. In the true spirit of evolution, some of these accidents have stuck with us, In the end I went with the Progear.

(Although I don't recall Bianchi trialling a chainless drive system).
